Playing 9 ball....8 and 9 left.....9 is just of the right rail 3-4 inches past the side pocket....you can just see about half of the 8 ball right behind it..almost locked with the 9....no pocket for the 8....cue ball is just past the side pocket and 6-8 inches of the rail...slight angle to the 8..but no pocket......how would you shoot it? How would you "D-Up"?......assume this is the hill game....you miss you lose the $$

  1. Wow!

For a minute there I thought Sandra S. was really down on us pool players. Then I found a compliment in her last sentence.

Kind of a left-handed compliment, but, hey... we take what we can get, right!

    One question - what's Tennis?

PS - I notice that Sandra just came aboard this very day. Nice to know she/he is ingratiating her/himself so soon.

Hey Mickey, I know I owe you one. Here's the answer on the brothers: You made a great guess about the DiMaggio's... but no.

It was Hank and Tommie Aaron. Three times they hit homers in the same game. June 12th, July 12th & August 14, 1962.

Tommie had a whoppintg total of 8 that year.

    Later, Jay

  2. Think the lady has it -If I could not kick the 8 into the 9 for a cross side shot But think safe at the same time Im a little fuzzy on the picture but the way it sounds thats what I would go for

  3. I think I'm picturing it right, Mickey...I think I'd try to just clip the eight and tuck it even a little bit farther behind the nine, with top left to hit the foot rail, side rail then back up a couple feet behind the nine...hopefully he's hooked, but if not, he still won't have a good shot. Sound right? It's easier for me to think with a pool cue in my hand :)
