Htc touch && nextel?

i was browsing for phones on nextel.com, and i noticed some phones would have a little icon by them that said "nextel". i want to get the htc touch. but it doesn't have the little nextel icon by it. does that mean that i can't get this phone if my carrier is nextel?

That is correct.  Nextel's phones and network are iDEN, which uses sim cards.  Sprint's phones and network are CDMA, which doesn't use sim cards.  If you wanted to get the HTC Touch, you would have to switch to Sprint's service.
