Huge Elephant Ears?

They have grown taller than the gutter and are falling to the ground. Should I take up the bulbs at the end of this summer?

Cut-back the big leaves and in the fall dig up the bulbs, but fill the holes with pebbles or fine gravel  otherwise you could have some little hidden roots, these could sprout next year again.

If you don't want them to keep growing, then yes.. cut them down before Winter and remove the bulbs, otherwise.. they'll just grow back next Spring. Good luck.
