why do humans live longer than animals??

Humans don't live longer then animals. some tortoises can live to be over a hundred years old. I think its based of how fast our bodies metabolism works. Rabbits fast metabolism die sooner while slow moving tortoise with his slow metabolism lives longer. Better questions why do trees live longer then animals?

The Giant tortoise has been recorded to live in captivity for 177 years. I have yet to hear of a human living that long.

yes. they almost always do. except for like some tortoises (who can live up to a hundred years or more) and some donkeys (who can also live up to a hundred years)
