I've heard about a home made spray you can make that will absorb the humidity in the room and make it cooler. how do you make it?

  1. I think you mean 'Summer Breeze'.  It only removes snow, and snowmen, and only then in make believe land.

  2. A spray, no I don't think so.  What you need is a dehumidifier.

  3. DIY Doc, humidity is relative to temperature. Get a Trane manual and look it over.

  4. Good to see DON again, and no offense meant but where did you hear that???

Answer 2 offers a valid suggestion, but we can't know your actual situation. Do your walls weep? Does moisture flow? Is your breathable air so dense, that it causes distress?

BTW,,, Humidity has no real correlation to temperature. I offer this example. In WA state for example, or even here in South FL, it can be quite chilly and the humidity can be near 100%, even in the form of rain.
