Humming birds in Alberta?

Question

I want to set up a humming bird feeder in Alberta. Where should I put it, what should it look like, what type of food should be inside, what are some tips you can give me and is it possible for me to set up a live hummingbird cam to broadcast on the internet?

Expeiriment.  Keep the hummingbird feeder well spaced if you have more than one.  Only have as many as you are willing to maintain.  If you do have more than one remember that hummingbirds are terrtiorial and make sure that when they are at one feeder make sure they do not see another.

Make sure if you put a sugar solution as food, that it will spoil quickley.

A good hummingbird feeder to buy is called the humzinger, it is easy to clean.  You need to change the formula every 2 to 3 days in hot weather oftener.  If possible set it up in shade like under an overhang of your house.  It also keeps it out of the rain.

For 1 cup of mix:

1/4 Cup of sugar to 1 Cup of water.

Boil the water add the sugar make sure it is all dissolved,  let it cool down then refrigerate it.  Then fill the feeder.
