Hurricane season in Florida?

We are thinking of going to Disney world in Florida, this summer is it hurricane season there

  1. Yes, technically the tropical cyclone season for the Atlantic basin runs from June 1st through November 30th every year.  The time of greatest risk for tropical systems is usually from mid August into early October, but of course they can affect the area outside of that time.  The chance that one will affect that area at any one time is small, but not zero.  Statistically, your best chances to avoid a tropical cyclone in the summer would be early in the summer.


  2. Yes, we have that officially from June, 1st. - November 30th.  Most start off the coast of Africa or even develop many times in the Carribean or Gulf of Mexico.
