Hypotheses test (statistics)

construct a hypotheses test for each sample at the .01 significance level and what action should be taken provide the t-statistic as well as the p-value for each sample

rather then display all the data i more need help with a jump start as to how ago about doing this i know it involves a 99 percent confidence level but what formula do i use

  1. You didn't tell us whether you are comparing two samples to each other or comparing each sample to a "known truth".

    Either way, the formula for the Student's t test is well publicized:

    If you are comparing each sample to a "known truth", use the independent one-sample t-test.  If you are comparing two samples which are not strictly related in an one-to-one fashion, use the independent two-sample t-test.
