i have extreme ocd, i am on meds 300mg zoloft, and going to 400 soon. i had this problem before, and it´s getting worse day by day now.

i´m shaking terribly hard. My reflexes have deterioated much lately, i´m getting dizzy spells. I can´t even hold a pencil quietly sometimes now.

Can this be sideeffects on going from 200 to 300mg zoloft (2 weeks ago)?

or is it something else?, if so what?. Has anyone else had the same experience?

  1. Call your doctor.  Meanwhile, even if you think the Zoloft is to blame, don't discontinue it cold turkey.  If you feel like you need to cut back on the Zoloft between now and when you can reach your doctor, consult a pharmacist for the best way to do so.  But any decisions regarding dosage really need to be left up to your doctor.

  2. Zoloft was an awful drug for me - I thought the highest on that drug was 200.  It did nothing but make me feel worse - more depressed and anxious ...

    Anyway i have ocd as well - try Celexa if you havent tried Prozac ... I recommend it.  Celexa is amazing b/c it is an antidepressant used for ocd with sedative qualities.  Look into it!

    Good Luck!=)

  3. Your psychiatrist is the one to ask about that.  Just a phone call, and you'll have an answer grounded in medicine instead of people's opinions.
