Okay, so, I finally told him that I like him (I know this is sorta shallow, but this is all thru text), and he's like, "Really? That's cool. How long?" So I told him, and I then I said, "Look, I really don't want things to be awkward between us now, can we just forget what I said?" And he said, "Ya, sure it's fine. I didn't want to make things awkward. Sorry." So, first, what does that mean? Okay, so then (later) he said, "It was hot seeing you today at the soccer game." And so I said, "Right back atcha. ;)" Then, he said, "Yeah, I didn't see you at the first game, so I had nothing to play for." Now what I want to know is, now this may sound stupid, but do you think he likes me back? Let me finish..

Just go up to him and tell him all these things and forget using a cell phone, internet, etc.  Tell him face to face.

I think next time he asks you; tell him you'll tell him in person. And just say "You." What's the worst thing that can happen?

Oh, you can get rejected? Then move on. Guys like it if girls are more outgoing so they don't have to do everything to start the relationship.
