I'm buying an electric mandolin....?

Question

I'm quitting the death metal band I'm in because they're all a******s and they're going to kick me out anyway, so I'm going to start a band that's a mixture of Nickel Creek, Hinder, and Smile Empty Soul, but to give the "Nickel Creek" sound, I'm going to buy a mandolin. What would you say would be the "best but cheapest" electric-mandolin to buy? I really dont want to spend over 2 hundred dollars. And if you would like to, help me out with finding a name for the band too! We don't have one yet.

Um, I don't think the Environment section is the best place to ask this question.

why don't you go to a music store and ask questions there. I wouldn't buy on the first trip, but it might be worth a good drive to be able to talk to someone more knowlegable and to hold one while you talk.
