  1. tafe - you're in Australia or New Zealand?

I don't think you'll have any problems but it would be worth checking the entry requirements for the course you're interested in well in advance so you have time to prepare for any exams they want you to take. Even see if you can talk to someone in admissions about what allowances they make for home educated students.

  2. Not sure what "tafe" is but for college / uni

You will still be able to get into college.  Just like any other student you will need to take and score well on an entrance exam (SAT, ACT).

  3. You are an Aussie? I think we're the only ones who have tafe. But you said 'math' not 'maths?' Hmm.

Yes, you can.  That answer applies wherever you live, but you may have to make an irregular application.

Odds are, you'll have to take the STAT test, since you won't have an ENTER score, but that's no big deal. As far as I know, you would have to do a straight arts degree, and specialise in forensic anthropology with your post-grad work. I may be wrong, but you'll have to check it out. If I'm right, it's not science and maths you need, but writing and analytical reading skills. (Obviously not all this applies if you aren't an Aussie.) Contact the anthropology or humanities departments of the universities for more info.

  4. I am home-schooled and so are all my friends. Plenty of them are going off to collage and everything. Homeschooling is better for you anyway. Instead these public schools that are just ruining your self-esteem I encourage it even for your kids.Tough it out and you'll soon learn that your kids appreciate you more. And they'll have a better life. Just get them involved in extra activities and stuff to make friends.

  5. Yes, you can. Definitely. I'm one of nine (australian) home-educated siblings, aged from 24 years to 13 months. The two oldest ones are already at Uni, whilst my brother and I have provisional offers of places; and we've all done it without having a single grade, good or bad, or the HSC or any other formal 'school' qualification to our names, lol.

(Good grades are not the only way of getting into Uni down here; Life experience, practical qualifications and the Special Tertiary Admissions Test will all get you there as well).

Oh and for anyone who doesn't know: TAFE = Technical and Further Education (College).

  6. yes, of course!! home schooling is basically going to school at home. if you're in the uk, then if you pass all the GSCEs that you need then of course you'll get into a good uni or college.
