  1. Whereabouts exactly are you staying in the town?

Cool, well there's tons of pubs that you could try if you don't mind working late.

There's a new Sainsbury's Central that's recently opened on Queen Street so you could apply in there?

There's loads and loads of shops in the town. Places like Borders and HMV and Virgin Megastores (Zavvi now :S ) never have signs up but there's loads of clothes shops and places that have signs up from week to week.

There's a hugs great River Island and there's a Next too.

You could also try in Debenhams on Argyle Street, they take on lots of staff at this time of year, or in Fraser's on Buchanan Street.

There's also a big Aldi closer to High Street, they pay really well and its only a ten minute walk at the very most to the city centre.

Where Ingram Street and High Street meet.

I work in the Tesco Metro on Argyle Street/Miller Street and they're looking for someone to work full time on shop floor I think.

I don't know what kind of work you're after, but if you go round the shops with CVs then you can usually get an interview.

I would say though, don't apply for a job in Primark, they treat the staff like c**p, and don't go out applying unless you've got CVs with you becase 90% of places don't give out application forms!

  2. Ignore angel we do not hate the English I think she hates Scots.

  3. Have a look at S1 jobs - http://www.s1jobs.com/

They e mail you all the jobs you are interested in.

You can also do a job search on the Job Centre website - http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/JCP/inde... or just pop in to your nearest office and have a look at whats on offer. Glasgow Gumtree also have a list of job vacancies - http://glasgow.gumtree.com/

Glasgow City Council vacancy list - http://www.glasgow.gov.uk/en/YourCouncil...

Just have a wander round the shops/pubs/ restaurants etc and see if they are looking for any staff. Leave a copy of your CV with them so they can contact you if a vacancy comes up. Good luck!
