I'm nervous about school??

Question

Ok, I'm going to a new school because of mygrade level. Same district and everything. I'm afraid that I'll get lost even though there's an orientation! I'm scared about mean teachers, and the older students! The pick on the 'freshman' i guess you could say. FOR A WHOLE 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Help! Can someone help calm my nerves????

You know when we go through things like this in life it often helps to remember that your not alone. There will be many kids in the school that will be new also. Once you get your schedule it wont take long to learn where your classes are. Before you know it you will be following your schedule and showing up to your classes with out even thinking about it. As far as your crush, Im not sure how old you are but in life sometimes we have to decide whether a really good friendship is worth jeopardizing for a relationship. If you end up dating him and things dont go well then you have lost a dear and much needed friend. Dont be nervous about a school. Everything is going to be just fine.

Find friends and stick together if youre freaked, but don't let anyone know you're freaked and don't let them scare you, they probably won't mess with you anyway.

Awh don't be nervous!

all the other kids are in the same position as you are!

Don't worry, if you get lost just simply ask someone "wheres this class?"

The orientation will help a lot, just pay attention to everything important when you take a tour of the school.

As for the older kids, don't worry. they can't be that bad!

If so, just blend it, stay with groups of kids.

About your crush: definetly don't be scared about him!

If hes your best friend and you like him, just be yourself around him.

don't worry. lots of people get lost their first day! you'll be fine! they should give you a tour at orientation, and once you've got it down, you'll know your way around like a pro!

teachers aren't that bad, you'll probably end up with a couple of great ones, some okay ones, and maybe one horrible one. but that's life!

and they don't allow the upperclassmen to harrass you that much...lol!

i was a freshmen last year. i thought it was going to suck but it really didnt! the people who made fun of me for being a freshmen were just kidding around. so if you can take a joke i think you'll be fine. it was a new school for me too and wow i was worried about the same things. i went home the first day crying and begging my mom not to make me go (she still made me go) but i felt so lost there. at least untill i made friends, but my the second or third day i was fine! i had friends and i loved most of my teachers. dont get me wrong, its going to be hard but just focus on the school work and not the other stuff so much and you'll do great.
