ok In my carry on bag for the airport what has to be in a zip lock bag. What doesn't need to be in a zip lock bag and where can I put my snacks. I have my clerasil but its 3.5 ounces does it count a a liquid. This is really annoying.

  1. Actually, zip-locks are the traveler's friend, so I put many things in them, especially things that could leak.  They would be great for snacks, too.  Your clearasil is of the consistency that might be overweight for the airport, so I would decant only enough for the trip and leave the rest home.  You can always buy more when you get there if necessary, after all.

The smartest packers travel as light as possible.  I have been working for years on paring down my list.

  2. It is Transportation Security Administration (TSA) rules that dictate what can be put in your carry on bag.  The rules are as follows: 3-1-1 for carry-ons = 3 ounce bottle or less (by volume) ; 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin.

This only applies to liquids and gels.  I think clerasil would fall into this category.

  3. i would suggest...call the airline on which you are flying...or go online..and find out what they allow..they HAVE to tell you...i am sure they will do  so
