unplug electronics when you're not using them.

use energy efficent lightbulbs.

the lightbulbs last 10X longer than regular ones and use half the energy.! most of the electricity being used in each house hold is powering things that are turned off!!!

Turn the thermostat down.  Consider a gas stove if you have electric, also update your old appliances with new, energy efficient ones.
