so i was in normandy right? well..my days were of course, spent at hte beaches of normandy..every single beach i was at, men and boys about 17 or 18..actually ALL ages..wore speedos...do they like, not believe in swimming trunks?

Yes, they wear swimming trunks and I'm rather surprised you didn't see a lot of those.

However, people go to public pools a lot and trunks are prohibited there, which may explain the speedo thing.

Most of the people at beaches in Normandie are from other European countries.  The speedo is becoming less and less common.

you have to wear speedo in a swimming pool in france.If not they refuse you.  It's cleaner, they know it is not the clothes you wear to play football outside.

They were not french!! I'm french, 24, and you will never see me in speedo! But in public swiming pools, we have to wear those. That's why I never go to public swimming pools!

right, speedos are use in public swimming pool ( for hygienic reasons) Nevertheless people wear it as well if they go to the beach in order to brown. Then, they wear swimming trunks.
