i used to take lessons at the navy base pool when i was little, and i was pretty good swimmer. i used to dive for rings and do cannon balls off the high dive, but then 2 years passed and i went swimming again and i could not keep the water out off my nose. from then on ive had to wear a diving mask. dose any one know why that happened? and i have tried blowing the bubbles out of my nose and it dose not seem to help. any advice? thanks

  1. You can buy a nose plug at a drug store

  2. happens to me too and have no idea why

  3. Try sealing off your nose with your tongue. You can try it while just sitting there at the computer. Force your tongue up and back against the roof of your mouth -- notice how you can't exhale through your nose?

Try doing that the next time you are underwater. It's what I do. Blowing bubbles out my nose just seems to let water creep in.
