I concepts wheel scroll mouse

Question

I just tried to use the 4D wheel vertical and horizonal scroll turbo scroll and zoom control mouse. It caused everything to go haywire on my screen. Opening and closing windows and programs. It said on the instructions to turn off computer and plug in. Turn on computer no driver needs to be installed. I am running XP home. Do I need to install some sort of driver. Model #81150N is the mouse I purchased. I hope you can help me. Otherwise it is going in the trash
