I dont get it!!!! (for everyone)?

Whats the point of putting all these pretty cloths on your avetor and being able to zoom in and out it all people can see is your head when you ask or answer a question!?!?!?!?!!? please help!

I realized that just we have to make our avatars and be happy by seeing our self in beautiful locations with nice cloths and all stuff.. he he..
