I had a peculiar dream?

Question

So, first I was hanging from some bar in like a competition, and then going throught some boxes with someone.

After that, I went over to my ex boyfriend (but it seemed that we were still together) I felt like things were still going badly with him like how we'd go places and he wouldnt come and hang out with me. I went and sat on his lap and then actually touched him a bit if you know what i mean. What is this all about?

You are still wondering what caused your boyfriend to break up with you, and you are worried that you are not attractive enough or smart enough or skillful enough or whatever.  So you first dreamed about a competition where you might be able to prove yourself, then you dreamed about whether you could attract your boyfriend sexually, maybe because you are still worried that he was not attracted enough to you, or that you could have done more for him, if you know what I mean, to keep him with you.

Not sure what the box thing means.
