there is a lot more to being registered blind than just looking at an eye chart. there are loads of tests that are done

I don't think the chart even comes into it, it's how far u can see directly infront of u and if u can even see at all at night...

ud know if u were blind!

Not quite sure, I know that you have to be able to read down to the fourth line from the bottom to drive safely. When I'm in my contacts my eyesight isn't quite good enough so I have to wear my glasses if I'm gonna drive.

You don't get 'registered' as blind.  To be legally blind, you have to have vision of 20/400 or worse and that it can't get corrected to better than that will glasses. That is the top E of the vision chart or thereabouts.

I think it's something like 200/20, or being able to see from 20 feet what a normal person can see at 200 feet.
