I was wondering if i should get on the CNA to jump start my career in the medical field? i want to me a midwife and i was wondering what is a good or possible career path should i take? I wanted to get in the CNA and then go back to school to be a medical assistant.. but was also wondering is there a quicker way or should i just be a CNA and just go to school?

  1. You definitely should start as a CNA. It will not only give invaluable experience, but will allow you to have that one on one contact with patients so you truly can understand their needs. Not to mention, it can support you while you obtain your degree and most health-care facilities have tuition reimbursements and are more than willing to alter your schedule to meet your schooling needs. I highly recommend it both as a nurse and a former CNA!!!!

  2. first get your cna -- you can always find a job to support you while you decide what type of schooling you want!!!
