  1. drink water?

  2. Hello, If your tongue just suddenly got dry while sleeping, I would have to believe that you slept with your mouth open and breathed through your mouth as you slept...This would be a normal thing to do if you have a nose cold or a stuffed sinus condition. If however it remains dry you need to see an ENT, Ear, Nose & Throat doctor. Good luck and I wish you well.

  3. Drink water. A dry tongue is an indication of the start of dehydration, even though you are not thirsty. If you woke up with a dry tongue, it means you slept with your mouth open. But drink some water right away, and keep sipping throughout the day, especially if you've been drinking nothing but sodas, tea, or sugar drinks lately. All of those drinks can actually dehydrate you over time, so drink some plain water for today and rehydrate.
