  1. you should probably see a speech pathologist. talk to your parents about it and they will try to get you one or talk to your doctor. hope this helps! :)

  2. my cousin used to have this problem.. the way she fixed it was to try and roll her r's and and just keep doing it over and over

  3. Most schools have a speech therapist on staff who will work with you - at no cost to you or your parents.  If you feel uncomfortable going during school, I would encourage you to talk to your counselor and ask if there are any community organizations that offer speech therapy or go through your parents' insurance.

Two of my kids had speech problems when they were younger and my daughter, who's almost 13, still struggles a little.  My oldest son (he's old...'cause I'm pretty old...LOL) has no speech problems, but he stayed in therapy a little longer than my daughter did.

I wish you luck!  If speech and diction coaches can coach people out of accents with success and teach those with moderate hearing impairments to speak clearly, I'm sure you can change your "r"s!!  Plus, it's all mind over matter and WANTING to do it, right?  Talk to the school and I wish you good luck!  ;)

  4. See a speech counselor. But it might be too late. You're 13 and it's already ingrained into your brain.
