I have a self-cleaning oven

I have a self-cleaning oven and set it to clean for 1 1/2 hours. The light turned off at the end of the time but the "sound" made during cleaning didn't stop. When I followed the procedures of turning the oven to off and the switch back to MAN the cleaning sound continued and I can't unlock the oven door. What am I doing wrong?
