I have a volleyball question?

i need to know how the coach sets up the play if they d't know whats gog to happen?

well, our coach doesnt set up the play, our setters do.

On a free ball, when we know the pass is going to be perfect we run trick plays to confuse the other teams.

For example, the middle will run a C and the right side will run a X1 and the opp. will be the outlet. (etc)

We always always have a outlet on our plays just in case the pass is not perfect or the hitters are off balance etc. (outlet=emergency person to hit the ball, mostly middle back will hit the pipe.)

Coaches decide on plays based on probabilities.  What shot is likely to happen?  You do not place players trying to dig directly behind the block.  You may have a player cover behind the block, but not a player to dig the hard attack.  If a player on the other team has a player that gets 80% of the spikes when they are on the front row, where do you put your best blockers?

they usually set you you 3 in front and 3 in back.

they plan the play on how the players out there play and wat works for them...

You run set play on serve receive, and some "free" balls. The setter could make decisions on the fly when the ball is in play and one of your hitters is wide open and is in attacking mode.

When there is no chance to set up any play, the setter would simply set for the outside hitter, which is "the play" you have to go with even when the coach doesn't know what is happening.

they arent really plays each person plays a specific position but every time your team serves they have to rotate so when you see peopple moving to differne t spots they  are getting to their position on the court.  The play is always pretty much the same there is one pass to the setter a set and then a hit the only difference each time usually is who will hit the ball either the inside or the outside hitter.  hope that helps ur question was a little confusing
