  1. 3xy - 28 = 16x

    3xy = 16x + 28

    y = (16x + 28) / 3x

    y = (16*4 + 28) / (3*4)

    y = 90 / 12

    y = 7.5

  2. 3xy - 28 = 16x

    3xy = 28 + 16x

    [factorise y, and let y = ]

    y(3x) = 28 + 16x

    y = (28 + 16x) / (3x)

    Let x = 4,

    y = [28 + 16(4)] / [3(4)]

    y = 92 / 12

    >>y = 23 / 3

    Sorry if it's messed up =)

  3. 3xy = 16x + 28

    y = 16/3 + 28/(3x)

    -------------------->

    y = 16/3 + 28/(3x) ; x = 4

    y = 23/3
