can I use a fake name and fake address when signing up, then change it to my real name later when I have money in the account? I don't trust giving out my address. And do I have to use a credit card and give them that info? Please advice!

  1. I have never had any problems with paypal whatsoever.  I have found their security to be really tight.

I didn't want to give credit card details also but it seemed i had to to open the account.

I wouldn't bother giving a false name and address because it wouldn't correspond with the details on your credit card would they? They might refuse your account or something.

  2. If you can't trust PayPal then you can't trust any web site. They are very secure and they probably will not allow any name change.

  3. Trust me when I say Paypal is extremely anal in their dealings. You have to give them your credit card information and depending on what you're doing you will need to provide them with your checking account info too. Don't use a fake name...they'll find out and block/restrict your account.

  4. Pay-pal is one total mess..three months of trying to get my credit to

show...on the phone they will tell you,,, an say everythings ok..

I buy a lot of cars an other things...My credit card useage is heavyly

used...get a bank statement ,,their ebay all over it..No pay-pal credit any where..Thinking of closing it..
