I just acquired an Optoma

I just acquired an Optoma EP771 (refurbished from Amazon). There is a persistent white vertical white light flickering band that I do not know how to get rid of, I have reset to defaults and I have also tried changing frequency and tracking but to no avail. I tried the projector with two different computers--one with vista and the other XP--same problem. Can you give me some advice?
