I live next to a family who represents everything that is wrong with America. They are ALWAYS at their house, making a racket. They rev the engines on their cars and their motorcycles, which they ride around all day. Seriously, I am not sure these people even have day jobs. When they are not either revving their engines or riding their vehicles around, they are at their house, beeping the horns on their vehicles, mowing their lawn or yelling loudly. They have a daughter who is probably around 11 years old and she does nothing but scream. They have 3, yes 3, large dogs that bark from the break of dawn until like midnight or so. The dogs bark uncontrollably when anyone walks by their house. Mind you, I live in a middle-class suburban neighborhood. I HATE living next to these people. We tell them to keep it down during certain hours of the day so they'll be more considerate of the fact that they're in the middle of a NEIGHBORHOOD, where there are other people living.

  1. Register a complaint with the police department. You have every right to quiet time and they aren't respecting your rights. Most neighborhoods nave set times for quiet, generally between 10 pm and 8 am. Check with your local zoning office.

  2. How does it happen that you are home all day every day to witness these people who own cars and motor cycles and dogs and can afford to live in this 'middle class' suburb?

Perhaps they are hard of hearing or have some other handicap. Why not look at them as 'human beings' and not the object of your hate and disdain and perhaps they will settle down?

  3. wait till they go on vaction and then show your house to be sold and move

  4. Call the cops and file a complaint. After getting a few fines they just might get pissed and move back to whatever trailer park they came from.

  5. The polite thing to do is wait out the 20 years it takes for them to croak on their mayo slathered tuna sandwiches and pack up your SUV on the day that they go to services for a road trip with a trailer attached.

It takes time to do something like that....or if you don't want to wait...

rent a little trailer for the weekend and put some trash barrels in front of it with the lids off, and stick one of those little trampolines in front of it so that their kids can come over and practice dumpster diving

...better yet, have a BBQ invite them over and make it one of those fun filled activities for the whole family

    For real.

They might enjoy it, and not even catch on.

Make a home video, and post it on the internet

    or better yet,move

  6. File a complaint with the police.

I would assume that your local laws involve some sort of noise ordinance that protects against exactly what you're talking about. You can always call or e-mail someone at the department to learn about it.

  7. I'm afraid I'd be concerned about the "11 year old who screams all day"...  Are you sure she is safe?  If not, please make a report to Child Protective Services.

  8. At least they mow the lawn!

    Call the police.

They might get a ticket, but you can't change who they are. I doubt they will suibtably change for your annoyance.

Grow some man packets and talk to them. Have a civil conversation like the adult you are.

    Move!

They hardly represent everything wrong w/America.

But how angry you get over something this small kind of does.

    Have a nice day!

  9. Hey Ben  its' your neighbor....if you don't like my dogs and my kids...then move!....and if I sees you on my property again I'm a gonna pull out the equalizer ohn ya!

  10. they probobly rent; you have the option of notifying the landlord or property management company.  there is no reasoning with people, really unless they want something you have.  esp. walking over to their territory i would advise against that.  most cities in California help landlords evict people if it comes to that...it happened to the people across the street from me.  too many ambulance calls; the landlord was given an ultimatum backed-up by the city police.  they are gone now-they used to run a generator all the time 'cause pg&e cut them off.  heroin too-
