I mainly have a problem

i mainly have a problem with a printer spooler i dont know what that is i get a certain idea of what its functions are but cant do anything about it i dont know how heres my general story to now i bought a new computer printer but i when i put it in the power and put in the installation cd with out connecting the printer to the comp i cant get it to load it it stops in the middle of the process of installing i get a message saying that the computer cannot find a path error #3 i have windows xp home edition.. but i tried a couple of things on the net searching and it seam i established a path so now i tried to install it again i get new pop up saying could not start print spoolerservice on local computer error#2 the system cannot find the file specified... please help me send me a step by step instruction of what i can do.. thank you i would really appricieate it
