on human genome initiative project.i went on gooogle and no help at all.i need information on it and i have to do a letter to the congressman supporting it by helping them wit this(human genome initiative project).so i need information to back me up..

I have included a link that has all the information you could ever need about the Human Genome Project.  The primary purpose of the project was to identify the genes and the sequence of base pairs that make up the human genome, but there were also additional objectives outlined on the site.  There is also material on ongoing work, as well as on how the Project has contributed to our understandings of certain biological phenomena.
