  1. Here are some links for Marie Antoninette halloween costumes. They start around $40.

  2. Don't look for Marie Antoinette costumes specifically.  Instead look for dresses of the period.  Also, remember to have a red line around your throat with a few drips of drops coming down to show wear she was beheaded.  Here are a few links to get you started.

  3. I agree with Erica N. Find a nice period costume (and an over-the-top powdered wig. You simply CAN'T do Marie without the powdered wig!!!) but instead of doing the red line around your throat, how about a bandage that's saturated with blood (with a couple drips) and you walk around with your head ****** at a slightly off-kilter angle, as if someone tried to "fix you" after your little "incident"? Ooo! And don't forget to hand out little cupcakes or Twinkies so your subjects can "eat cake"! Or... now here's a bit of a stretch: pick a nice costume that kind of resembles a cake of sorts (perhaps your headpiece could be a HUGE cupcake with a cherry and sprinkles, your sleeves Swiss Cake rolls, and candy garlands swagged all around your skirt [check your local craft stores for the Xmas decorations already. I swear, having them out this early is a crime...]) and then the bloody neck bandage. Perhaps you could even hand out business cards: "Antoinette's Bakery. Confections so delicious you'll lose your head."
