I have two therapy clients meeting with me SOON! They both have high functioning Autism. I need a game where they can interact and practice problem solving and language skills! Last month when we met we played a Mission Impossible game. I covered a room with yarn to represent to laser beams in MI. One was blindfolded and the other one had to talk their partner through with out touching the yarn and tripping the security system. Any FUN ideas like that...I am clueless today!!

  1. Board games work for autism - games like whodunnit, battleship, clue (or clue jr. ) depending on their age.

Another idea is: You could put objects under a cloth - one person gets to feel the objects under the cloth or in the bag while they describe what it feels like the other person has to write it down or guess what it is. Take turns back and forth.

  2. Another similar one is where you have one person blindfolded and the other person standing behind them with their hands on the other person's shoulders. Then they 'steer' them through an obsticle course  by tapping their left shoulders to get them to turn left, right to turn right, head to stop, and back to go.

  3. Tell them to play the "silent game".
