OK so Im sure other women can do this too, but I sure can't. How do I plug my DVD player into the TV? My husband had the Wii plugged in on the weekend and my daughter wants to watch a movie. There are 3 little plug things red, blue and green. (not the white red and yellow im used to!) and the TV is a samsung LCD. There are so many plug holes on the back and so far I havent hit the right combination. Please help

  1. OK ,this might help what I learned is the red, white,& yellow plugs I call RCA plugs or jacks and they only work with other RCA input plugs behind a TV, the Red, Blue,& Green plugs you have are the upgrade for better quality picture but your TV and your DVD player both need to have these type of plugs, they will also be color coded with the same color, so connect your wires to the out put plugs on your DVD and connect the other end to the input Red, Blue, and Green plugs behind your TV, now I believe these new plugs you got are for video quality only, I believe you will need seperate plugs for audio, so you also need to connect or disconnect the sound plugs from the other appliance and connect these from your input behind the TV to the out put audio connection on your DVD player. Now to see the video you will also need to find the either composite or I really think its the component video source on your TV its something like when you watch your VCR and you need to change your TV to channel 2 or 3 well this time you need to find how to make your TV turn on either your Composite or I believe the Component.  Well  I know this is a lot of info but I hope it helps somewhat and hope you can understand what I just said. Good Luck

  2. thare should be a spot on the back of your tv that reads video input or somthing like that. plug the plugs in red to red, green to green and blue to blue

  3. ask a man

  4. Those are the HDMI cables, try to find another set of inputs on the back with a flashlight.

If there isn't another set of inputs

Try Green / Yellow , blue / white and red / red )

or you can leave the dvd player plugged in and see if you can just switch the wii through it.

  5. try this red on red yellow on green and white on blue

you should also check and see which one specifies if its audio or video in that case the audio should be the blue and the video should be green

  6. Go to the website of the DVD manufacturer and see what they site say on the help menus, I would just plug in hit and miss, you would have sound no pix, or pix no sound, just change one at a time. Good Luck.

  7. are the jacks in the back of the tv color coordinated? if so just plug the wires in the corresponding jacks. i hope you get it.

  8. try to put the tv on the top of ur dvd player , connect ur daughter to the plug , u will see a live movie

  9. call someone to do it

  10. no you need a techology capable person

  11. did it work?

  12. Experiment plugging different colors into the plug-ins on the tv and DVD until you get it to work.  The red and blue more than likely are audio-- red and white normally. the green is probably video which is yellow normally.

  13. techman2 is not a good source, the wii does not play dvd's. if you still need help, send me a message, I probably know more then anyone here. I know anything and everything.

  14. rgb are all video.  there should be no more than 2 inputs that are rgb.

Look for something like " input a" with the rgb holes.  plug in your box, then select source until you find the correct input

  15. mm... I´m a girl XD and I can do it!!

  16. all u have to do is match the colors.-_-

  17. look for the audio in on the tv and connect it with the audio out on the dvd...and do the same with the others... good luck

when all else fails check the owners manual if it is still around...

  18. Look carefully for anythign that says input on the TV plug holes. Try plugging in the wires from the DVD player into the plug holes that say input behinf the TV - should be video, audio input. Just try until a pic comes out. let us know if it still doesn't work.
