Okay, I would like to baby sit.

I love children, what parent out there would hire a mature 12 year old to baby sit their 2-5 year old?

And could someone ask me what I would do in certain situations that is a parent? Email them to me at xoduhitsmorgg@yahoo.com please! and tell me if you would hire me. I'm not looking for a job quite yet I'm just seeing if someone would hire me.

  1. My daughter is a very mature 14 year old & I don't even let her babysit her younger brother & sister. That's just me ~ I baby sit when I was 12 & never had any problems.

  2. I might trust a 12 year old if i knew them well enough, and their parents, and only if I knew there was an adult/neighbor nearby that could come over if there were a serious emergency. I used to babysit at 12, so I know it's possible to be responsible. :)

  3. I will be sixteen in a month and a half, and it is just recently that people completely began to trust me with their kids. You have to understand that it isn't easy for people to leave their kids in the first place, and to leave them with a 12 year old is pretty much out of the question for a lot of people. My advice to you would be to just work as hard as you can towards showing people how mature you are, and spend as much time with small children as you can. Even when I"m not babysitting, I'm with friends of the family and their young kids. You have to take CPR courses, learn infant CPR, learn the heimlich, infant choking procedures, in some cases you should even know how to use an epi-pen(a lot of kids have allergies). When you arrive at a house to babysit, you have to know all the appropriate information, whether it be emergency numbers, allergies, medicines, or other important things. Know TV rules, priveledges, bedtimes, punishments, etc. You should spend time taking courses, around kids, and maybe start babysitting your siblings first. I have cousins I watched from when I was 11 or 12, but there was always someone else around as well in case of emergency. My now 3 month old brother is a plus to have, because I can tell people looking to hire me that I take care of him a lot( I really do!). GOod Luck!

  4. How about ask your Family Friends and relatives and even your neighbors! I personally wouldn't let a 12 year old babysit my kids just because! You have to understand that Babysitting is a serious thing! If anything happens to the Kid(s) then the parents have every right to sue you and you don't want that to happen!

There are many part time jobs you can do like, Cleaning Houses, Mowing the lawn, Ironing Clothes, Doing laundry, doing chores, walk their dogs!

  5. Unfortunately, sweetie, I wouldn't let a 12 year old babysit for me no matter how mature.  The best thing you can do is see if there are some babysitting classes you can take next year to prepare yourself for when you're 14 and are old enough.
