I need affordable airfare....?

i am going to del cabo mexico in september. i need a flight ot la paz from rhode island, or mass. and i can't find any under $1200 roundtrip per person, adn only la mexicana flies there and it will take 11 hours with the layovers in atlanta a guadalahara (sp. sorry). Anyone have any suggestions?
