I need first second grade math?

Question

any one know a way to make math fun for a second grader

he's not too good at it and i want to help but the traditional way doesn't seem to work

any suggestions

Use manipulative's so he gets involved with the learning process and can see how the process works. You can use anything. blocks, Lego's, toothpicks to show help him understand the problem.
