  1. Well if you got into the last musical with bronchitus, you must be pretty good!

Well the first thing a person will notice is your overall image. You don't want to come across as a rebel, grungy, overly proud, you get the point.

Look natural and decent and have your hair down. Don't wear anything too dramatic either. Your personality matters too - which means not to be obnoxious or too anxious or eager or anything. Laid-back and cool is best.

Okay now obviously that's not all there is. I don't know if you are auditioning for a school play or a community theater, but most theaters require you to sing a 16 measure song from standard musical theater selections. You'll also be taught a dance and required to perform it, most likely with a group, and you'll also read from a monologue. There are a lot of songs to choose from and you'll have to pick what you are best at. When you read from the monologue, be sure to use facial expressions and a little bit of action as well, as well as when you're singing. When you dance be sure to smile.

I would have more to say, but there's no really specific question here, so if you have any more questions, just email me. :-)

I wish you the best of luck!
