I am going on to my third week of being in the hospital. I have horrible pain on my right abdominal side and some on my left abdominal side, vomiting, out of control burping, trouble with bowel movements and passing gas! I have seen a gynecologist, surgeon, and had a CT scan, ultrasound, x-rays, and a million blood tests. Every thing has come out good and they can't see anything wrong, However; I know that I have adhesion on my right side! My gynecologist 2 yrs ago told me that my fallopian tube and the intestine is suck together when she was tying my tubes. I have had a few surgery's in the passed that would cause the adhesion and I had crohn's. I keep telling my doctor that I have had pain on my right side a few month after getting my tubes tied. It's just got really bad the last few months. The doctors keep pushing off the adhesion when I ask them if this could be the cause of my illness? They also came into my hospital room yesterday and told me they think my horrible pain is in my head and that I don't need that much pain killers! and a few days before that the doctor told me I might just have to live with this pain and live on pain killers! but the pain is very horrible! I'm not crazy! The doctors are sending me for a lower scope and to a gastrologist, even tho I keep telling them this has nothing to do with my crohn's! They just won't listen to me, and now they think I am crazy! I just don't know what to do!

  1. Insist on seeing a specialist if your doctor won't listen to you. It's YOUR health and your life at stake here. If you don't insist, you'll be living with this pain and possible inflammation and infection. So what if you're the 'picky' patient and come across as difficult. At least you'll have peace of mind and might get someone to listen to you about the adhesion. If you have doctor's records from before, you could bring those to prove why you keep insisting on this. They don't think you're crazy--they're trying to come up with an easy solution to your pain and don't want to listen to you b/c they think they're experts. Keep insisting until they prove to you that it's not the adhesion.
