I need help choosing a college???

Question

Well my college choice has lowered to 5 colleges... my GPA is 3.52, and ACT is a 30. My college choices are in no particular order:

Aurora University

Benedictine University

Dominican University

North Central College

University of Illinois at Chicago...

I want real answers and testimonials on what students think about the school, teachers, classes, etc... I don't care if the campus is pretty or nice, i just want an excellent education so i can pursue my goal of being a dentist. So i need ur help. Thanks!

I am surprised that these are your choices. Frankly, I think that your record merits a school that ranks higher than any of these.

Don't sell yourself short... take a look around and see what other schools might give you a more competitive degree and a more challenging education with a greater variety of opportunities.  Between the schools you mention, I don;t see any advantage at all to attending any of the private schools. UIC will be OK and relatively cheap, and Chicago would be a good fun place to be in school.

If you particularly want a Catholic school, there are several others that you should look at around the country. I am partial to Fordham U in New York - I tried to talk one of my kids into going there!  He wanted to be in the country, though....
