I need help with bedroom colours...?

I currently have a blue carpet with a HORRIBLE aged yellow and blue floral wallpaper. I want to change this and replace the wallpaper with paint. I'm planning on keeping the carpet but wondered....

...Could Chocolate Brown and Vibrant Red go with the carpet?

I think the chocolate brown would work, idk about the vibrant red though. Maybe chocolate brown and maybe a dark golden yellow would look nice.
