I need help with editorials plz?

Hi I'm in English AP this year and my teacher wants me to do 3 editorials that are related to these themes:

- a sense of community/family

- senseless violence/abuse

-the life of american criminals in and out of the penal system

- the importance of appearances to others in American society

- Determination close to the point of obsession

- importance of the american dream

- betrayal

- dysfunctional family

-refusal to accept weakness

- reality vs illusion

I just need suggestions of any news that happened recently that I could write editorials on. This is due tomorrow morning! please please guys help me out. If you can help me find an article that would be great I'd appreciate it so much. Thx!
