I need help with ipod internet.?

I have a new ipod touch and do not know how to work the internet.

My wifi is not connected and i have no clue how to connect it their are no networks to choose and when there are i don't know what to do with them???

Do you have a wireless router? First if you do not have one, get a wireless router.  Then set up the router so you can get wireless internet. When you are on your touch turn on the wifi. A box should pop up on your touch that shows the network you created or already had create. Click on it with your finger and then type in the password if you set it up with a password. There would be a lock next to the wifi location. Then you will be connected to the internet. Once its set up once you can have it remember it so any time you are in the range of your wireless router you will have the internet.
