I need help with ipod ?

i have got this ipod its a square shape 1 its 8gb however everytime i play a track the lights dim then it goes onto the next track after 15-20 seconds can someone help me fix this problem

But it sounds like you have the ipod nano.

the lights dim 10s after you stop touching the wheel as thats a feature of the settings you can alter this in the settings feature.

it could

also be that the track is only set to a few seconds...

Either go to the apple website or find a apple shop. On the website it gives you quite clear instructions on how to fix the problem.
