  1. To help you, we need more info -

What age level are you playing with? Do you know what type of offense your coach plans to use, for instance, are you setting all the way around, only when you are in the back row, etcetera...?

  2. It really depends on your offense that you are running and the different serve receives you are running.

However, you should have the easiest change of all.  If you knew where the opposite should play on every play, you will be very close to knowing where you will play.  The opposite is named because they are playing opposite the setter.

  3. kk heres your court

      4    3      2

5     6       1 ...thats the order when ppl serve..if your an opposite then your either 4 or 1 as long as you stay diagnol wid 4 or 1 your fine ..stay behind the front row ppl until you are in the front row you dont want your team to be called on out of rotation..hope i helped

  4. if you were an opposite before this should be extremely easy for you. to figure out where you need to stand look for the new opposite and stand diagonally from them. remember you are the opposite of the opposite. and when you're in the middle. the opposite should be infront of you. if you're in the right top corner, your opposite should be in the left back corner. and so forth..

  5. well I'm a setter and this is how we run it. okay here goes lol:

    rotaion 1(your serve)-

serve, then run up to the ten foot line and play from there.

Then in ro.1 serve recieve you start at the 10ftline behind the next server then run up to the net to set and play from there.

ro.2- just start at the 10ftline in your regular spot. In serve recieve you start behind the person that's in mid.front, then run up to set.

ro.3- start to the left of the mid.back, then when the play starts you run past her/him up to ur regular position on 10ftline. In serve recieve you start behind left front person, and then run to set.

ro.4(now in front row)- start on left side then run to ur regular front row position (right front). In recieve, you just have to make sure that you aren't crossing over mid.front or left back, then when the play starts, you run to set.

ro.5- start mid front...then run to right front when the play starts. In recieve you basically do same as in serve, make sure not to cross over people.

ro.6(final)- start in reg. front row position in right front (setter position) and play it out from there. In recieve, you just start in that same spot and play it out.

Sorry, it's a bit hard to put in words but I just put it as I do it. =)

  6. depends what recieve your doing.

    just remeber to not overlapp!

  7. I'm not sure what kind of rotation your team uses.  Hopefully the following page (which illustrates a 6-2 rotation) will help.  http://ellerbruch.nmu.edu/classes/cs255f...

  8. you rotate clockwise, if you're in the back row don't move anywhere, but if you're inb the front row after the ball is served you have to run to your position (middle front) where the setter belongs.  if you're not sure feel free to ask a team mate or the coach but yell timeout first so the reff. doesnt call it an "out of rotation"  hope this helped!  good luck!
