Question:

I need major PC Help?

On my computer, i have severely critical infections. Everytime I try to remove them, they just keep coming back. I think I am going to go crazy if I don't fix my PC. They always change my desktop, cause fatal errors, switch my internet pages, and install things I do not want. (OMG, I hate my computer). Is there any way to fix my computer without having to reinstall everything? Such as deleting everything and reinstalling every system. Or is there some sort of super-software designed to exterminate every malware in existence.

One of the scams I have been getting is Antivirus XP 2008, which scares me by telling me I have 843 malicious progams and my computer will act like a terrorist machine.

I need help before my Computer crashes.

  1. Back up your data, including your email now before you lose access to your computer.  Keep it off the internet.

If you're as badly infected as it seems, a reinstallation is going to be much quicker than digging out all the malware.  Make sure you have installation discs and the keys for your applications before you wipe everything out.

And when you get your computer back up and running again, put on some really good anti-malware, especially if you do a lot of downloading.

  2. This is because your anti-virus is not COMPLETELY removing it.

    Go here:

    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread....

This guide will show you how to COMPLETELY remove software that will harm your computer (Viruses, malware, etc.) Using programs such as Spybot S&D, AVG, and Avast will not completely remove a malicious program. Using those programs alone could in fact make it worse.

Just follow the guide and you'll be fine. Plus, everything in the guide is FREE!

  3. I'd advise you to backup all the important files (music and documents) on CD or DVD or move it to a different partition of your computer (like D: if you have installed windows on C:) and then ask someone who know to format your computer (doesn't take more than 1 hour to have everything working again).

Probably what you have is not that dangerous but it gets pretty annoying when the computer do things you don't want.

I've had a computer for almost 10 years (not the same lol) and never used an antivirus until less than a month ago when I finally got an annoying virus... now I'm using nod32 and everything is working just fine.
