  1. I also want to move to Spain some day, so I've done some research and asked a few Spanish friends similar questions as yours (and I've asked similar questions on here).

First, you will need a lot of money, unfortunately.  Housing, especially in urban areas like Madrid (even outside of Madrid but in la Comunidad de Madrid) is outrageously expensive.  Most of my Spanish friends are in their mid to late 20's and they still live with their parents just because they can't afford a house or apartment, even if they have a good job.  Your best bet would probably be to find someone who needs a roommate or something along those lines.

Also, a good proficiency in the language is a must.  Spain has the second lowest number of English speakers out of the EU countries, so finding your way around, especially in non-touristy areas, in English will be tough.

As far as finding a job, it's do-able, but keep in mind that Spain has relatively high unemployment, so there is a lot of competition for those jobs that are available.  Also, because of government regulations, you're going to have a harder time findng a job if you're a non-EU citizen.  (Though I looked at your other questions, and you seem British, so maybe you are...I can't really tell from this question.)

With all that said, you can totally do it, just be determined.  The best idea is probably to make a 5 year plan for yourself: figure out how much money you can save up, learn Spanish, and figure out what you need to do to make the move legally and when.

Contact the Spanish Embassy in NY to get specific information on what types of documents and such that you'll need.  Just keep in mind that Spain is currently experiencing an influx of immigrants right now, not all of them come in legally.  You're much better off having all your documentation in order.

  2. You do need quite a bit of money and fluency with the language.  Find a good hotel and check out their rates then give yourself about a month or so of time to find a job.  Find out how much a month at that hotel would be then double it and you're set.

  3. i go with first awnser.... Alot

  4. I would bring around 11 thousand, at the least. You also need to know the language and be willing to work hard.

  5. alot

  6. u need to check on-line and find a job first, before u make any moves. once u know u got the job. move then. start saving noe if u can, so u have some money once u leave there or some other place. best wishes!!!!

  7. It depends on what you really want, if you don't mind where to live, the villages near the beach have very low rents in autum, so you can come here in october and then try to find a job.

Places, like Madrid or Barcelona are impossible to live if you don't have enough money, depending on your nacionality, you may try to find more people to share a flat...

If you don't speak Spanish, I think you must learn a bit before come, because here in Spain most people don't understand English, other posibility is going to Ibiza, where there are a lot of foreigners and most jobs look for people who speak english fluently...

I think if you plain it well, you may come here with about 6000 dollars... or less
