I need some good advice for...?

hairstyles. I've been looking all over the internet and it's just driving me crazy because I can't find the right one for me. I just got a haircut yesterday, but there's no difference in the way it looks, in fact it's worst now. My hair is long, it's like 4 inches under my armpit. I have side bangs and layers, but it just looks messy, and looks like I've got split ends or something (I just took a shower too, with some conditioner). I'm about to go back to school, so of course I want to look good...I'm looking for some asian hairstyles that are fresh looking, not those wild looking anime ones. I'm okay with mid-length hair. I don't think I can curl my hair, my hair is straight- so don't suggest any hairstyles that are curled. I want a kind of asian style-bob-mid length-fresh look with some layers (not a lot of layers cause my hair will eventually get tons of tangles). I need a link and pictures so that I can show it to the hair stylist. thanks so much for your help, and sry- cause there were tons of questions like this one. Oh and if this makes any difference my hair is black, I have a heart-shaped face, I am asian, hair is long, layered, and I have side bangs (I've had this kind of hair style for so long, it's time for a change).
